'Somewhere you would like to visit / live one day'

Right, back to the challenges! Had a little detour yesterday day because it was mothers day!
This one is going to be really hard! There is so many places I've been that I loved and so many places I haven't been to yet that I want to visit! I'm gonna have to try and pick one place I most want to visit and then one where I would like to live.

Somewhere I'd Like To Visit

This is the most difficult one! I really don't know how to pick just one!
Theres a lot of places I want to go to in Italy and Australia that I didn't get a chance to see the last time I was there but I have already been there so I'll choose the next place on the list. America.

Theres not just one specific place I'd like to see, I'd like to see all of it. But these are probably top of the list.

- New York -

Home of Broadway, this is one place I definitely want to visit. If I had things my way, I'd be performing in a Broadway show daily, but hey, we can't all get what we want now can we! I love big cities. I've been going to London every year since I was little and although I've never lived there it feels like I belong there. Theres something about being around so many different people and lifestyles that fascinates me and I figure New York would be a heightened version of that feeling! Theres just so much to take in, so may colours and sounds and even smells! Its just an incredible atmosphere! Id obviously have to do all the classic tourist sites, Times Square, Broadway, Statue of Liberty and of course the buildings that were featured in that unknown tv series F.R.I.E.N.D.S … but I'd also like to see how many hidden gems I could find. Like, Italian restaurants ran by real Italian families in tiny little cafes and little boutique shops that no one really knows about. There would be so much to do, I'd probably need either a month there or 2 holidays!

- Las Vegas -

Now .. This one could be a bad idea. But! I have a plan. Theres 2 sides of Vegas I want to see so my plan is to split the holiday into two parts. Drinking & Gambling and Tourist. You can't go to Vegas and not gamble, you just have to! So, I'd take with me a set amount of money just to gamble. Theres so many different nightclubs I want to go to out there I'd need a week of enjoying the nightlife to see it all!
Then, I'd like to spend a week or two doing the sober tourist stuff. Not only in Vegas itself but I'd love to drive to the grand canyon and some of the areas around Nevada that aren't full of casinos! I'd obviously have to take an empty suitcase with me too so I can bring back all the 'souvenirs' AKA all the cheap American clothes I buy.

- Salem & New Orleans -

This last one, although they are completely different places are sort of linked together so I'd always do them in the same trip.

The Witch House

Madame LaLaurie's Mansion

These would both be part of a 'horror trip'. I've wanted to visit Salem for years as its the site of the famous witch trials. Me and my mum both love anything to do with witches! And in this country the closest we have is probably Glastonbury. Theres not much left of the original Salem anymore but there is still one 'Witch house' which is still connected to the original witch trials. They still go full out every Halloween with a huge masquerade ball so I'd love to go for that!
And New Orleans is full of history anyway but one place I do want to visit is Madame LaLaurie's Mansion. Madame LaLaurie was a very famous serial killer in the early 1830's. She used to torture and kill her slaves and was only found out when firemen responded to a fire at her house and found evidence of torture, murder and found her personal cook chained to the stove! They now do tours of the house where you can see where it all happened.

Somewhere I'd Like To Live

I doubt this would ever happen because I'd miss my family too much but, if I did ever choose to do it, This would be my choice.

Ive been here 3 times now and I absolutely love it. Theres so much life everywhere and its hot!! And of course, instead of pigeons walking around your garden, you have parrots! Thinking realistically I probably wouldn't be able to afford to live in Sydney because its rather expensive so I'd have to live somewhere further out and just visit the city! Theres still so much I haven't seen even after 3 visits and there would probably still be stuff to see after living there for 3 years! Its one of the most beautiful places I've ever been to and I'd be very happy waking up to it every day!
